Enjoy Breastfeeding

Many women are surprised by how much joy they find in breastfeeding. However, mothers also need a support system while they’re learning. Latch Lady can be an important part of that support and learning process.

When To Seek Help?

A good time to meet with the Latch Lady is prenatally, in the hospital after birth, or when you take your baby home from the hospital. Being prepared for what to expect and having the tools in place ahead of time can go a long way in preventing issues like sore nipples, and promoting healthy milk production and proper latch. However, even with the best efforts and experienced moms, issues might still arise.

You might need help if:

  • You are concerned about low milk supply

  • You feel your baby is not getting enough milk

  • Your baby cries all the time

  • Your baby sleeps all the time

  • You have sore, cracked nipples

  • You dread nursing due to latch problems

  • The filling of your breasts (engorgement) does not occur by the 5th day after birth

  • You are severely engorged

  • Your baby does not latch onto your breast

  • Your baby does not have 3 or more yellow, runny stools by day six

  • Your baby has not regained birth weight at 2 weeks
